(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A body found near Austin Bluffs Parkway earlier in August has been confirmed to be that of a woman reported missing at the end of July.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers initially took a report of a woman missing from the 4400 block of Champions View, near Cottonwood Creek Park. The report stated that 56-year-old Cheryl Bennett had walked away from her home and had not been heard from.
