(U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.) — A court-martial for a cadet accused of sexual assault has resulted in a jail sentence and the cadet’s termination from the Air Force, according to a spokesperson.
In a press release, the spokesperson said Cadet Viet Zaengle was convicted and sentenced following a general court-martial that concluded on Wednesday, Aug. 6. USAFA said Zaengle elected trial by jury and was found guilty of one count of sexual assault in violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
