(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — A suspected intruder is in custody after a fight with an armed homeowner in unincorporated El Paso County.
Just after 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) said it received a 911 call from an elderly person in the Stratmoor Valley Mobile Home Park on Wooddale Road, who said there was an intruder inside their home.
According to EPSO, when the homeowner asked the suspect to leave, he refused, and a fight ensued in which the homeowner stabbed the suspect. After being stabbed, the alleged intruder ran from the home, damaging fences while running through two neighboring yards, before collapsing in a third backyard, where deputies found him and identified him as 37-year-old, previously convicted felon, Gareth Webb…
