(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Colorado Springs Utilities (Springs Utilities) is warning the community after customers reported receiving water test kits that Springs Utilities said it did not send.
According to Springs Utilities, customers have reported receiving an “Annual Water Test” kit through the mail, which Springs Utilities said did not originate from the Utility.
While Springs Utilities said it will occasionally test the quality of water, several steps will be taken before that happens:
- Springs Utilities will always contact customers in advance
- Customers will be asked for their voluntary assistance with testing
- Kits provided will bear the official logo of Springs Utilities and detailed instructions
