Pueblo, Colo. – Central Colorado is under threat from strong thunderstorms this Friday, with damaging winds, heavy rain, and large hail expected. The National Weather Service warns that the most dangerous period will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., especially across the Pikes Peak region and the adjacent plains north of Highway 50.
Severe Weather Threats
According to the National Weather Service Pueblo, hail up to 1 inch in diameter and wind gusts of 60–70 mph are possible. Localized flash flooding is a concern, particularly in El Paso County, where rain could overwhelm low-lying areas and roadways quickly.
