(CRIPPLE CREEK, Colo.) — About $70,000 worth of stolen funds have been recovered following a theft from J.P. McGills Casino in Cripple Creek, according to the Cripple Creek Police Department (CCPD).
In an update on Wednesday, Aug. 27, CCPD said that $70,550 had been recovered from the attorney for the suspect in the case, 26-year-old Andrew Joel Irvine of Colorado Springs. Irvine was arrested after $76,800 was stolen from the casino in the early morning hours of Monday, Aug. 18.

In addition to the recovery of funds, CCPD also received various items of clothing that Irvine was allegedly wearing at the time of the theft.
Irvine remains in custody at the Teller County Jail…
