(COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to the Downtown Partnership, as of Wednesday, Aug. 27, the block of Tejon Street between Pikes Peak Avenue and Colorado Avenue is now reopened following the completion of the revitalization project for that section of downtown.
That block of Tejon now boasts wider sidewalks, spacious patios, and beautiful amenity zones, as well as the restaurants that have remained open for the duration of the work. There are still a couple of final touches to be done, such as installing patio railing when it arrives and planting trees once the weather permits.
The next phase of the project will begin on Saturday, Sept. 2, when the block between Pikes Peak Avenue and Kiowa Street will be fully closed in both directions to allow for the revitalization work. Pedestrian walkways will remain open so that the community can still access the businesses on the block for services, coffee, lunch, happy hour, dinner, and nights out…
