(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A man is in critical condition after being found by fire crews responding to a fire at an abandoned building.
According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD), crews responded around 9:30 p.m. to a fire at the shuttered Bayou Seafood and BBQ on North Academy Boulevard just south of East Platte Avenue. Road closures were in effect as crews responded.
The fire was under control shortly after crews arrived; however, CSFD said an initial search of the building revealed a man was inside. CSFD said the man was rescued and provided medical care, before being taken to the hospital where he is reportedly in critical condition.
No other injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation…
