(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The victim of a homicide that occurred north of Downtown on Thursday, Aug. 28, has been identified, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

According to CSPD, a call came in around 8:15 a.m. on Aug. 28, reporting a dead person in the 100 block of West Cache La Poudre Street, near North Cascade Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man with at least one stab wound.
On Friday, Aug. 29, the El Paso County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy and identified the man as 48-year-old Daniel Parsons. The coroner’s office will determine the cause and manner of death, but according to CSPD, it is being investigated as a homicide.
