A black bear in Colorado was tranquilized and relocated Monday after it was found raiding bird feeders and testing chicken coops in a Colorado Springs neighborhood.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife said wildlife officers responded to a home near Austin Bluffs and Barnes Road in Colorado Springs on Monday after residents reported a black bear roaming through five backyards and climbing fences. CPW says the approximately 175-pound bear was “attracted to neighborhood bird feeders and a chicken coop.”
