CSPD: Suspects threaten victim, steal gun outside club

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Police responded to a disturbance and shots fired outside a club on the southeast side of Colorado Springs in the early morning hours of Sunday, Sept. 7, when two suspects assaulted a person and stole his gun, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

According to CSPD, officers arrived at the scene in the 3700 block of Astrozon Boulevard, near South Academy Boulevard and Hancock Expressway, around 2:15 a.m., where they learned that the disturbance had started inside the club and then moved into the parking lot. Once outside, at least two suspects assaulted a victim and stole a firearm from him. Soon after, gunshots were reported in the parking lot.

CSPD reported that officers investigated and learned that the suspect had returned to the scene. They stopped the vehicle and arrested two suspects for assault and aggravated robbery.
