(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A man is now in Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) custody after a disturbance at a gas station on Sunday, Sept. 7.
Officers with CSPD’s Sand Creek Division were sent to a disturbance at a gas station in the 1900 Block of East Fountain, across from Evergreen Cemetery. According to the official CSPD report, police were led to a nearby house in the 1000 Block of Stewart Place, less than a block away.
The CSPD report says that police were trying to speak with the suspect, now identified as 53-year-old Spence Massey, when he pulled a woman into a room with him. Officers report they heard a gunshot immediately after that…
