(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) conducted a targeted enforcement operation south of the Colorado Springs Airport on Sunday, Sept. 7, in an area where criminal activity and narcotics distribution had been reported.
According to EPSO, around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, patrol deputies conducted surveillance in the 5400 block of Almont Avenue, near Bradley Road and Grinnell Boulevard, and when they saw a gold Honda Pilot driving away from a home, they conducted a traffic stop.
EPSO reported that drug paraphernalia was in plain sight in the vehicle. The people in the car were identified as 31-year-old Matthias Black, 54-year-old Brian Marinez, and an unidentified woman.
Martinez was arrested on two outstanding felony warrants for Vehicular Eluding and Domestic Violence-Stalking. EPSO stated that he was also charged with Obstruction after providing a false name to the deputies. He is currently being held at the El Paso County Jail without bond…
