(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — According to the Manitou Springs Police Department (MSPD), since Aug. 1, police have taken a significant amount of drugs off the streets of the community.
MSPD said that through a series of traffic stops and investigations into suspicious vehicles, officers have uncovered methamphetamine, fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine. Substances, MSPD said, pose serious risks to community health and safety.
Since Aug. 1, officers have seized more than 125 grams of methamphetamine, 7.5 grams of fentanyl and heroin combined, two grams of cocaine, and multiple fentanyl pills. The efforts have resulted in felony arrests along with misdemeanor charges…
