Family carries on tradition, honors victims of 9/11 at intersection of Academy and Galley in Colorado Springs

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — In honor of the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, a family continued a beloved tradition in Colorado Springs at the intersection of Galley Road and North Academy Boulevard on Thursday.

Chriss Seal, who passed away in 2018, started the tradition in 2002, and every year on Sept. 11, he walked for 12 hours around the busy intersection, holding an American flag in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 lives lost.
