CSPD: Armed suspect arrested in northern Colorado Springs

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — An armed suspect has been arrested after an altercation with the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) on Thursday, Sept. 18.

Around 5 p.m. on Thursday, officers with CSPD’s Stetson Hills Division were sent to the 2900 block of Roche Drive, near the intersection with Vickers Drive and North Union Boulevard, to investigate a possible suicidal man in the neighborhood, who was also reported to be hostile.

Once in the area, officers made contact with 47-year-old George Ransom, who police said was displaying erratic behavior and allegedly stated that he would come out of his house with guns if police did not leave…
