VIDEO: El Paso Suspect Joseph John Martin Darcy Arrested for Multiple Vehicle Burglaries

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has made a significant break in a spate of recent vehicle break-ins. On Wednesday, officers were called to investigate several vehicle burglaries in the 700 block of Hertford. Among these was a case where the thief had made off with over $3,000 worth of goods. The Sheriff’s Office swiftly identified 25-year-old Joseph John Martin Darcy as a suspect, a man already on their radar for providing false information to a peace officer.

According to the social media post by El Paso County Sheriff Oscar Ugarte, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit pursued the leads. Their investigation proved fruitful, uncovering additional stolen items at another residence located on the 800 block of Hertford. These discoveries not only connected Darcy to another burglary but also paved the way for the return of stolen items to their rightful owners. Darcy was slapped with two arrest warrants for Burglary of a Vehicle as the pieces of the investigative puzzle fell into place.

Upon his apprehension, Darcy was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility, his bond set at $9,000 for the two counts of Burglary of a Vehicle.
