Bear struck by car during late-night collision rescued in Colorado Springs

Personnel of Colorado Parks and Wildlife sprang into action to save a 150-pound bear that was struck by a vehicle on the night of September 23.

According to witnesses, the sow – estimated at two to three years old – was hit by a car on Tuesday night, remaining on the ground for about 30 minutes before she woke up and ran off.
