Senior Life educates older population

Douglas County’s Senior Life held its biennial event, Vintage & Vibrant, last month at the Highlands Ranch Senior Center.

More than 200 seniors, volunteers and partners participated in the breakfast – lunch event. Dr. Nalin Mehta spoke about nanobiotechnology in medicine, a technology that plays a growing role in both diagnostic and therapeutic medicine. The morning keynote was author and speaker Julie Nygard who spoke about the health benefits of chocolate from her book, The Chocolate Therapist. Terrell Pearson a senior care advocate talked about how nutrition plays an important role in supporting cognitive health.
