The Colorado Springs Police Department is gearing up to enhance road safety by introducing two mobile Speed Safety Camera (SSC) systems, coming in October, as a supplement to their Automated Vehicle Identification System (AVIS) technology, a move that is already proving effective across various cities globally.
With a commitment to fostering safer streets, the CSPD, through educational initiatives, community engagement, and strategic enforcement, seeks to foster a culture of adherence to driving laws. This strategy is now bolstered by the inclusion of SSCs, which are new mobile units specifically targeting locales where the risk to pedestrians and other commuters is high.
