COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -More than a month after a man was found stabbed to death near Monument Valley Park, police say they’re still searching for a suspect.
On Aug. 28, officers responded to the area just north of downtown and discovered 48-year-old Daniel Parsons with at least one stab wound. The El Paso County Coroner’s Office later ruled his death a homicide, marking the city’s 24th homicide of the year at that point.
Parsons’ mother, Mary Limond-Wilcox, described her son as bright and artistic. She said he once competed in a state spelling bee as a child, later became a tattoo artist in his hometown of Oregon, and enjoyed reading and conversations about theology.
