(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — A man has been arrested after the Chief of Manitou Springs Police recommended the cancellation of a community event due to a criminal investigation.
On Thursday, Oct. 9, it was announced that Police Chief Bill Otto had recommended the cancellation of a League of Women Voters event scheduled at the Cliff House Thursday night, due to an ongoing criminal investigation. Police did not clarify the circumstances of the investigation and said those details could not be released at the time.

On Friday, Oct. 10, the Manitou Springs Police Department (MSPD) sent an update and said a man had been arrested in connection with “recent activities” that occurred in Manitou. Travis Lee Garrigan was arrested in Park County and faces numerous charges:
- Attempting to influence a public servant
- Harassment
- Obstructing government operations
- Criminal extortion
Garrigan is being held in Park County on a $25,000 bond…
