Mt. Carmel seeking resources and donations during shutdown

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center is seeking donations and resources during the government shutdown so that it can continue providing service members, veterans, and their families with the same level of care.

“In many instances, when times get tough, the non-profit community is asked to step up,” said Bob McLaughlin, executive director of Mt. Carmel. “As we’re seeing increased need, we need help from the public to ensure that no one goes unserved.”

Mt. Carmel said it is welcoming funding donations to ensure that the mission continues in providing access to food and other daily living essentials, employment opportunities, supportive services, and connections to various community resources…
