(PIKES PEAK REGION, Colo.) — The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) recently reached a large milestone: 10,000 adoptions.
According to HSPPR, during the week of Oct. 11, HSPPR reached the milestone, highlighting one of the recent adoptions of Ivy, a 7-year-old Anatolian Shepherd.
HSPPR said Ivy’s adoption required a fresh start with a family that could keep up with both her big heart and big brain. Ivy’s journey was a team effort, involving help from the admissions staff who welcomed her and set her up for success, the veterinary team who made sure Ivy was healthy and ready, the behavior team who helped her channel that genius energy into play and learning, the volunteers who showered her with love and long walks, and the adoptions and communications teams who helped her shine in front of the right family.
According to HSPPR, the organization couldn’t be prouder of its compassionate staff and incredible volunteers, who pour their hearts into every animal that walks through its doors, and of the community that adopts, donates, shares, cheers, and opens their homes to pets in need…
