EPSO conducts high-risk prisoner transfer

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) said the office’s Special Response Team traveled to Montezuma County in southwestern Colorado to transport a prisoner that EPSO labeled high-risk.

According to EPSO, on Tuesday, Oct. 7, deputies from EPSO, with help from the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a “high-risk” transportation of 39-year-old Cameron B. White. EPSO said White was wanted on a felony warrant in El Paso County and had previously been uncooperative with law enforcement during an earlier transport attempt.

White is facing multiple charges in El Paso County, including Second-Degree Assault, Crimes Against an At-Risk Person, and First-Degree Criminal Trespass.

On Oct. 1, White was arrested by the Cortez Police Department for unrelated charges. EPSO was able to transport White to the El Paso County Jail…
