(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A man followed two suspicious vehicles after observing what appeared to be preparations for a burglary, leading to shots being fired at his vehicle in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Oct. 15, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
CSPD reported that around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, a call came in reporting a shooting near the intersection of North Murray Boulevard and South Carefree Circle. Officers responded to the 3800 block of Maizeland Road, a few blocks west of the incident, and spoke to the man who had called in the shooting.
The man stated that he had seen two vehicles in a parking lot involved in what appeared to be suspicious activity, which he believed was “casing” one of the businesses at the corner of Maizeland and North Academy Boulevard.
