On October 22, 2025, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit assisted with a vehicle search related to suspected narcotics. Deputy Richardson and K9 Mako, the department’s newest certified canine, performed an exterior sniff and indicated the presence of drugs. Officers then found 350 fentanyl pills (52 grams), 44 grams of methamphetamine, 105 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and a loaded firearm with a full magazine.
The suspect, 31-year-old Warren Wooten, was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Jail on several drug-related charges. He is being held on a $50,000 bond. Sheriff Joseph Roybal acknowledged the K9 Unit’s work in this case. The investigation is ongoing…
