Colorado Springs store provides food at discounted price

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — As the government shutdown continues to affect federal workers and SNAP funding, a locally owned store in Colorado Springs is stepping up to help the community.

Jim Krug, owner of My Bargain Mart, has been proactive in ensuring his store remains stocked by acquiring inventory from a closing Safeway in Lamar, over 100 miles away.
