Garden of the Gods Road Construction to Bring Lane Reductions and Delays for Local Drivers Starting November 10

The City of Colorado Springs will begin safety improvements on Garden of the Gods Road near Interstate 25. Construction is scheduled to start as early as November 10, 2025. Work will expand to the east side of I-25. New traffic lights will be installed at Northpark Drive and Mark Dabling Boulevard. The goal is to improve safety for drivers and pedestrians.

During construction, lanes on both eastbound and westbound Garden of the Gods Road will be reduced. This will occur mainly between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., with only one lane open in each direction at times. The project costs $1.96 million and is funded by the Colorado Department of Transportation and the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority.
