(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A man was arrested after allegedly robbing a store at gunpoint in the area of North Academy Boulevard and North Carefree Circle, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
The robbery occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 28, in the 3500 block of North Academy. When officers arrived at the location, they learned that a man armed with a handgun had entered the store and pointed the gun at the clerk, demanding money from the register, according to CSPD.
The CSPD Robbery Unit took over the investigation, and on Monday, Nov. 10, detectives got an arrest warrant for the suspect, identified as Blessed Omoobajesu. According to CSPD, Omoobajesu had committed a violent offense and engaged in conduct that posed a threat to the public, so he was taken into custody by the Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU), who found that he had a loaded handgun concealed in his waistband at the time…
