‘We all want a way to help out’: Colorado Springs business hopes to turn shutdown relief into lasting tradition

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – The longest government shutdown in U.S. history came to an end this week, but a Colorado Springs business said that does not mark the end of their efforts to help.

During the shutdown, more than 600,000 Coloradans saw a lapse in SNAP benefits. To supplement this, Care and Share Food Bank stepped up to help those impacted. This included asking some local businesses to collect food for those who needed it.
