(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Groomed By Kelly is redefining dog grooming in southern Colorado with its one-on-one, low-stress approach, something owner Kelly Carrillo calls a true “luxury grooming experience.”
Carrillo joined Loving Living Local with two of her clients to share the services she offers and why more pet owners are looking for personalized grooming for their dogs.
Carrillo says her interest in grooming started seven years ago while dog-walking in Denver. After working with a golden retriever named Oliver each week, she realized she wanted a full-time career with animals. She eventually trained as a groomer and opened her own salon, Groomed By Kelly, where she offers full-service baths, luxury grooms, paw treatments, facials, and customized care for dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
Two clients featured in the segment shared why they chose Groomed By Kelly. Kindal says her dog consistently comes home looking “beautiful,” and Braydn, who is new to the area, discovered Kelly on TikTok. After seeing her work online, she booked immediately. Both say the individualized care and patient handling keep them returning.
Carrillo says hearing positive feedback from clients is one of the most rewarding parts of her work. She also says she often sees progress in dogs who have struggled at other salons. “When they’ve been labeled difficult and I’m able to work through it, that’s huge,” she says.
