Highway 24 has reopened as of 10:00 a.m. Monday, after being closed while Colorado State Patrol and emergency personnel will work to clean up and investigate a fatal crash.
According to the Colorado State Patrol (CSP), there were two separate crashes just east of Florissant along Highway 24 between Teller County Road 1 and Teller County Road 42. One of those crashes involved four vehicles, and one was a single vehicle crash.
According to the state patrol, two people were transported with injuries from the scene of the four-vehicle crash. One of those people had to be airlifted to a hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. Black ice is being investigated as a main factor in this crash…
