Smoke visible for several days in Douglas County

(DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo.) — According to WatchDuty, the fire burning in the Turkey Tracks Shooting Area has burned 22 acres.

The USFS said smoke will be visible from the Turkey Tracks Shooting Area for several days as crews battle a fire.

The USFS said firefighters are taking an indirect approach to surrounding the fire due to unexploded ammunition for firefighter safety. The fire was human-caused, the USFS said.

Smoke will be visible for several days as fuels continue to consume within the fire perimeter.
