(FALCON, Colo.) — Goodwill of Colorado held the grand opening for its new retail location in Falcon on Saturday, Nov. 29, bringing 50 new jobs to the area. The festivities kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and included free refreshments, prize giveaways, and entertainment throughout the day.
Goodwill emphasizes fair-chance hiring, offering jobs to people who often face challenges in finding employment, including those coming out of incarceration, re-entering civilian life after military service, or those requiring upskilling. Goodwill Falcon’s store manager, Glenna Stanley, was hired after being released from incarceration and has since built a 20-year career with Goodwill.
“We’re honored to serve the Falcon and Peyton communities with this new Goodwill store and donation center,” said Goodwill of Colorado President and CEO Karla Grazier. “Our retail locations are a critical part of our mission in local communities. Proceeds from this store will support free, local job training and education programs like our LIFT IT Training, BankWork$, and Digital Skills programs.”
