GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo — Prosecutors have charged a truck driver with five felony counts stemming from a September crash on Interstate 25 that killed two 13-year-old boys who were on their way to soccer practice.
Liezel Ortega Ortiz was issued a summons on the charges last month, 9NEWS Investigates has learned. The charges against Ortiz include two counts of criminally negligent homicide, two counts of felony child abuse resulting in death, a felony count of child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury and a traffic charge for following too closely.
