(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The 41st Festival of Lights Parade takes place in Colorado Springs on Saturday, Dec. 6.
One of the most beloved holiday traditions in the Pikes Peak region, the Festival of Lights Parade transforms Tejon Street into a dazzling winter wonderland, drawing tens of thousands of spectators each December.
This magical evening features nearly 100 illuminated floats, each creatively designed in harmony with this year’s festive theme–“celebrating the holiday season through the sights and sounds.” From charming characters to twinkling lights and holiday music, the entire parade route becomes a joyful celebration that brings warmth and wonder to audiences of all ages.
Route
The 2025 parade is scheduled to begin at 5:50 p.m. on Saturday at the corner of Tejon Street and Boulder Street, with the route heading south down Tejon to Vermijo Avenue.
Parking
If you’re planning to head Downtown for the festivities, parking will be free at three city garages all day and night on Saturday:
- Bijou/Cascade parking garage – 215 N. Cascade Ave.
- Nevada/Colorado parking garage – 130 S. Nevada Ave.
- Kiowa/Nevada parking garage – 127 E. Kiowa St.
Food
In case you get hungry during the festivities, there will be a food truck villages from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the corners of Platte and Tejon, Kiowa and Tejon, and at the Pioneer’s Museum.
