“Justified”: CSPD officer will not face charges in shooting death, as picketers gather outside DA’s office

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) – On Wednesday, Dec. 10, the Colorado Springs District Attorney’s Office determined that Colorado Springs Police Officer Connor Wallick was justified in his use of deadly force when he shot and killed Alex Martinez-Sarmiento earlier this year.

However, a local activist group claims that Martinez-Sarmiento’s family deserves answers from the DA, and they will be picketing until DA Michael Allen meets with the family.
