Mountain Metro hosts Cocoa and Conversations

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Mountain Metro bus routes got a little warmer on Wednesday, Dec. 10. The Metro Mountain Transit (MMT) served up hot cocoa and answered questions at their “Cocoa and Conversations” event.

The event was at the Colorado Springs Downtown Bus Terminal at the intersection of North Nevada Avenue and East Kiowa Street. The event gave those who work for MMT the rare chance to actually converse and answer questions from those who rely on their buses throughout the year.

“It’s sometimes hard to get that one-on-one personal interaction. So, we do some events like this throughout the year. We’re here and talking to riders and interacting with them and hearing their concerns and listening to some of the ideas they may have to improve transit and treating them with a little hot chocolate at the same time,” said MMT Public Information Officer Elaine Sheridan.

Interactions like these are doubly important for both MMT and the commuters who use their services, as this gives workers the opportunity for feedback about the buses and routes…
