Second block of Tejon Street opens for holidays

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Just in time for those last rounds of holiday shopping, the City of Colorado Springs has wrapped up the second block of the Tejon Street Revitalization Project.

The project offers an updated streetscape to support local businesses through shopping and dining in Downtown Colorado Springs.

With this phase complete, Tejon St. from Colorado Avenue to Kiowa Street now features wider sidewalks, expanded outdoor dining areas, refreshed landscape, new trees, upgraded lighting, and enhanced pedestrian safety elements.

One of these enhanced pedestrian elements is at the intersection known as “Busy Corner.” Block 2 of the revitalization project reconstructed all four corners with colorful concrete and gently sloped curbs to improve accessibility, visual appeal, and safety…
