County Line Road will be closed between University Boulevard and Broadway starting January 6, 2026. The closure will last about 100 days, ending in mid-April 2026. This is part of the County Line Road Widening and Reconstruction project. Both directions of County Line Road will be closed between Clarkson Street and the U-Haul business access during this time. The closure is needed for crews to bring in and place a large amount of dirt at Lee Gulch. This work will level the roadway, remove a dip, and improve drainage, visibility, and safety. Construction will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday work may occur if approved by Douglas County.
Detours will be set up to help residents, commuters, and businesses. Business access will stay open via County Line Road. University Boulevard and Broadway will serve as alternate routes for businesses on each side of the closure. Residents can reach Clarkson Street through Dry Creek and County Line roads. Commuters are advised to use C-470 for through trips.
