(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — A crash on Highway 115 on Saturday night, Dec. 14, injured two, including a teenage girl who was taken to the hospital by Flight for Life, according to the Colorado State Patrol (CSP).
CSP reported that two vehicles crashed near Barret Road on Highway 115, between Penrose and Colorado Springs, at around 7 p.m. on Sunday. A 17-year-old girl from Penrose was driving northbound in a Toyota Camry, nearing milepost 27, when the car crossed the solid center yellow line into the path of a Lexus RX that was traveling southbound, driven by a 55-year-old woman from Florence.
The Lexus swerved left to avoid a head-on collision and was hit by the Camry on the front passenger side, according to CSP. The Camry came to a stop on the southbound shoulder of Hwy 115, and the Lexus ended up off the road on the right side of the northbound lane of the highway…
