New Habitat for Humanity home gives safe haven to family

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A family of five in Colorado Springs moved into their new home on Saturday, Dec. 14, fulfilling a long-held dream thanks to Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity and Apostles Build.

Misty and David Zavala, along with their three children, partnered with Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity and Apostles Build to secure their new home. They contributed 200 hours assisting construction crews and attended classes on budgeting and homeownership.
