UPDATE: SATURDAY, 12/13/2025 4:47 p.m.
(COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to CSFD, over 58 calls came in to dispatch about a possible structure fire at Beacon Building Products around 2:43 p.m. When crews responded, they found that styrofoam and other building materials were on fire, and access was tricky due to the fences surrounding the location. A second alarm was called to bring in more personnel. According to CSFD, 51 personnel are on scene.
As of 4:45 p.m., CSFD is waiting for heavy equipment to arrive to move piles of debris so crews can check for hidden fires. Hazmat is on scene, monitoring air quality and waterways. No injuries have been reported, and no other buildings have caught fire, as there were no significant wind shifts. The fire was contained to the outside pile of materials and did not spread to the building.
