(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A semi truck cab caught on fire on Sunday, Dec. 14, causing a large amount of visible black smoke in the area of East Bijou Street and North Circle Drive, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
According to CSPD, at around 2 p.m. on Sunday, a sergeant from the Sand Creek Division of CSPD noticed a large plume of black smoke southwest of East Platte Avenue and South Academy Boulevard. The sergeant investigated and found a semi truck cab in the parking lot of a tow company fully engulfed in flames.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire before it spread to a neighboring building or other vehicles. The cause of the fire is unknown, and there were no injuries reported…
