A Utah-based Coca-Cola bottler plans to replace its decades-old plant in Denver with a new production facility in Colorado Springs, local economic development officials announced.
Swire Coca-Cola USA plans to spend $475 million on the new 620,000-square-foot plant, which will make over 230 “beverage options” for more than 60 brands, including water, tea, juice and sports drinks in addition to soft drinks.
Swire distributes Coca-Cola and other brands across 13 western states and employs 1,300 people in Colorado. The company said that the new facility would add 170 net jobs to its workforce…
