Deputies arrest suspect after weeks-long drive-by shooting spree at car dealerships

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) – Investigators say a weeks-long series of drive-by shootings targeting car dealerships has led to an arrest, after license-plate tracking technology helped deputies identify a suspect.

Deputies say this case came together because they spotted a pattern the same night, the same method and same target. Detectives say technology helped them identify the suspect, now facing multiple charges.

A handgun, a vehicle caught in the dark by a license plate reader and the damage left behind, glass shattered by gunfire; Investigators say this is what a series of drive-by shootings looked like across local car dealerships, all happening after hours.
