(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The Manitou Springs Police Department assisted the U.S. Marshals Service Colorado Violent Offender Task Force (COVOTF) in recovering two children from Connecticut who had been missing since October 2025 and arresting their mother, a fugitive from the law.
According to the Marshals’ official release, 34-year-old fugitive Angela Hunt was arrested at an address near the intersection of US 24 and Manitou Avenue in Manitou Springs around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19. While searching the home, officers found the two children, three and 12 years old, who were originally reported as missing on Oct. 16.
Following their recovery, both children were placed in protective custody and are in the care of Child Protective Services as of 10 a.m. on Jan. 6, 2026…
