Southern Colorado-New Mexico Winter Storm Watch: 5 to 11 Inches of Snow Could Disrupt Commutes Thursday Night

Pueblo, Colorado – Travel across southern Colorado and into northeastern New Mexico could become treacherous beginning Thursday afternoon as a developing winter storm brings accumulating snow, strong winds, and reduced visibility during peak commute hours.

According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, a Winter Storm Watch is in effect for northern El Paso County, including Black Forest, Monument Ridge, and areas along the Rampart Range below 7,500 feet from Thursday afternoon through Friday morning. Snow totals of 5 to 7 inches are possible, with wind gusts reaching 40 mph. Those conditions could create snow-covered roads and drifting, especially on north-south routes…
