Deal Digest: Translators Sold In Colorado, Alaska.

TRANSLATOR SALES

Colorado – Ron Johnson’s Educational Communications of Colorado Springs has filed a $40,000 deal to buy the Golden, CO-licensed translator K214FJ at 90.7 FM from Vic Michael’s Cedar Cove Broadcasting. It will become the latest Colorado translator to relay programming from contemporary Christian “The Light” KTLF, Colorado Springs. As part of the deal, Educational Communications of Colorado Springs will also hand over the Fort Collins, CO-licensed translator K237CY at 95.3 FM to Cedar Cove Broadcasting for no additional payment. Michael plans to relay variety KRKU (89.3) from the Cheyenne, WY market on the translator.

Alaska – Alaska Village Ministries has filed a $15,000 deal to buy the Seward-Woodrow, AK-licensed translator K236CC at 95.1 FM from Gary Rose’s Turquoise Broadcasting. As part of the deal, Rose will also make a tax deductible $5,000 donation back to AVM after the sale closes. The translator will be relocated to Ninilchik, AK and move to 95.3 FM. It will air the Moody Radio religious network once the sale closes…
